Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Renimate ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), an AI-powered video generation platform operated by Renimate. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Renimate is a cloud-based AI video generation platform that enables users to create marketing videos, product demos, motion graphics, and animated data visualizations for SaaS products, web applications, and mobile apps. The Service operates through a chat-based interface — users describe their desired video outcomes in natural language, and our AI generates motion graphics accordingly.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

3. Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account using our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Credit-Based Billing

4.1 Plans and Credits

The Service uses a credit-based billing system. Credits are consumed when you generate videos, send chat refinement messages, or export finished videos. Credit costs and plan tiers (Free, Starter, Regular, Pro) are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

4.2 Free Tier

New accounts receive a one-time grant of free credits. Once exhausted, you must subscribe to a paid plan or purchase a credit pack to continue using the Service.

4.3 Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are managed through our billing partner, Polar. Subscriptions renew automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle. You may cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. If a video generation fails due to a system error, the credits reserved for that operation will be automatically refunded to your balance.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to content you upload to the Service (screenshots, screen recordings, logos, brand assets, data files). You also own the output videos generated from your inputs, subject to Section 5.3.

5.2 License to Us

By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transform your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.

5.3 AI-Generated Content

Videos generated by the Service are created using AI models. While you own the output, we make no guarantees regarding intellectual property claims by third parties. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on third-party rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Create deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive or manipulate
• Infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary right of any party
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms used by the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure, including API abuse, automated scraping, or excessive request volumes
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our prior written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Renimate. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service itself, except the limited right to use it as described herein.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Polar (billing), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Neon (database), and various AI model providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES, AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING ALL CONTENT BEFORE PUBLICATION.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENIMATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Renimate and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period unless prohibited by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Bengaluru, India.
